Team NOHA Announces 2026/2027 Season Coaching Staff North Bay , On- Aug 28, 2026- Team NOHA is proud to announce its coaching and support staff for the upcoming 2026/2027 season.
This year’s group combines an impressive depth of experience across the OHL, collegiate and professional hockey, junior and minor hockey, scouting, player development, goaltending, and athlete safety. Together, the staff will provide Northern Ontario athletes with the leadership, knowledge, and support needed to compete at a high level and continue their development both on and off the ice.
Reagan O’Grady — Associate Coach Reagan brings extensive OHL playing and coaching experience to Team NOHA. He played for the Kingston Frontenacs, Sudbury Wolves, Mississauga Steelheads, and Saginaw Spirit before transitioning to coaching. O’Grady spent five seasons with the Lindsay Muskies, including a year as Director of Player Development, before working with Jets Hockey Development on behalf of the Winnipeg Jets. Most recently, he spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL. O’Grady is excited to return to Northern Ontario and have his hockey journey come full circle with Team NOHA and the Sudbury Wolves U18 program.
Steve Polyblank — Associate Coach Steve brings more than 40 years of coaching experience and a deep commitment to hockey development in Northern Ontario. He began coaching in Kirkland Lake before spending more than 10 seasons with the New Liskeard Cubs and is a championship-winning coach in the Great North Hockey League. Polyblank also contributes to coach development as an NOHA Facilitator and Development 1 on-ice Evaluator. A former Kirkland Lake Blue Devil who appeared in the OCAA final, Steve brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Team NOHA staff.
Peter Michelutti Jr. — Associate Coach Peter brings extensive collegiate, professional, and elite minor hockey experience to Team NOHA. A former NCAA Division I player, Michelutti also played professionally in Italy’s A League before beginning his coaching career. He spent 12 years with the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves U18 AAA program, leading the team to a Telus Cup Championship in 2008. A longtime NOHA clinic facilitator, Michelutti remains dedicated to player and coach development throughout Northern Ontario.
Brian Kment — Goaltending Coach Brian returns to Team NOHA as Goaltending Coach, bringing more than a decade of experience in goaltender development. Since beginning his coaching career in 2015, Kment has become an integral part of goaltending development in Sault Ste. Marie and throughout Northern Ontario. He has contributed to NOHA Development Weekends and goaltending clinics and is known for his individualized approach and commitment to helping goaltenders reach their potential.
Max Rivet — Assistant Coach Max joins Team NOHA as an Assistant Coach, bringing experience in player development, scouting, video analysis, and hockey operations. A Development 1-certified coach, Rivet currently works with the U16 AAA Trappers after previously coaching at the U15 AAA level. He has also represented Northern Ontario on the coaching staff at the Ontario Summer Games. Rivet emphasizes team culture, accountability, and helping players understand their game while maximizing their development opportunities.
Marc Gagnon — Director of Scouting Marc brings extensive experience in coaching, scouting, player evaluation, and hockey operations to Team NOHA. He was an assistant coach with the 2017 championship-winning Powassan Voodoos before spending five seasons with the Huntsville Otters in coaching and management roles. Since 2022, Gagnon has served as General Manager of the Espanola Paper Kings and as a Regional Scout with the North Bay Battalion. Named the NOJHL General Manager First Team All-Star in 2022-23, Gagnon has also worked with Team NOJHL at the Eastern Canada Cup. The 2026 season marks his fourth Team NOHA assignment, with a focus on helping Northern Ontario players gain exposure to OHL opportunities.
Dave Losier — Trainer Dave brings more than 38 years of experience in hockey training, player safety, and athlete support to Team NOHA. He has served as Head Trainer of the Kapuskasing Flyers of the Great North U18 League since 1998 and is an HTCP Level III Trainer. His background as an ambulance attendant provides additional expertise in athlete safety and injury management. Losier is a recipient of the 3M Award for Safety and the NOHA Tom Pashby Trainer of the Year Award, and Team NOHA is proud to have his experience and professionalism supporting its athletes in 2026.
With a combined wealth of experience across multiple levels of hockey, the 2026 Team NOHA coaching and support staff is committed to providing athletes with the leadership, development, and support necessary to succeed.
Team NOHA is excited to welcome the 2026 staff and looks forward to an outstanding season representing Northern Ontario and showcasing the talent, character, and potential of the region’s next generation of hockey players.
