The NOHA and Zebrasclub.com are excited to announce the December Official of the Month – Jackson McArthur of Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

Jackson is a young Level 2 Official. He has been officiating for at least 2 seasons. While some young officials have to be encouraged to wear the green armband, Jackson's Horizon profile shows him wearing his.

During the Silver Stick Tournament in Sudbury, Jackson impressed coaches enough for them to submit his name as “Official of the Month”. He officiated two of their games, and during one, he called a minor penalty. He then changed it to a double minor. Jackson went to the bench and explained his rationale for the change. He was clear, composed, and articulate about why he changed the call. He was not intimidated by the moment.

The team had Jackson again for the championship game. “He really did an excellent job in a very tight championship game. I wanted to let you know he did a really good job in both of our games.”

Thank you, Jackson, for your professionalism and calm approach during your officiating.

Congratulations, Jackson! All Officials of the Month receive a generous prize pack sponsored by our official partner Zebrasclub.com.

We had the chance to interview Jackson over ZOOM:  December Official of month.mp4
