The Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) is proud to congratulate Brock Chitaroni of Sault Ste. Marie on his selection to Team Canada White for the upcoming World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. The event is set for October 31 to November 8, 2025 at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia.
Chitaroni's selection represents the culmination of years of dedication and development within Northern Ontario's hockey system. His journey began with the Soo Peewee Hockey League, where he played during the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons, building the foundation for his future success.
From 2018 to 2023, Chitaroni continued his development with the Sault Major Hockey Association, competing at both the AA and AAA levels. His progression through these competitive tiers demonstrated the commitment and skill that has now earned him a place on the national stage.
Team Canada White will open tournament play on November 2 against Sweden at 7:30 p.m. AT. The World Under-17 Hockey Challenge brings together the top young hockey talent from across Canada and around the world, providing elite players with invaluable international experience and competition.
The NOHA extends its congratulations to Brock, his family, and all the coaches and volunteers who supported his development throughout his minor hockey career.
