NOHA Coaching Development Webinar Series - Dan Stewart


The NOHA is pleased to announce the details of the third session of the NOHA Coaching Development Webinar Series:

Topic: Building a Coach/Goaltender Relationship in Minor Hockey

Date: June 29rd, 2020 – 6:00 PM to 7:15PM

Presenter: Dan Stewart, Goaltender Coach, Soo Greyhounds

Cost: FREE

Clinic Structure

The clinic will be delivered in an online webinar format. Clinic attendees will require a laptop with a sufficient internet connection to view the presentation. The concepts presented will include key theories on developing a relationship with your goaltenders, learning how to effectively utilize resources, video examples, and an opportunity to ask questions.

Coaches who attend will receive three Certification Maintenance Points towards their Development 1 or High Performance 1 “Certified” Status.

About Dan Stewart

Dan completed his fourth season as Goalie Coach of the Greyhounds in the 2019-20 season after being hired on August 9, 2016.

The 43-year old Port Hope, ON native’s coaching experience with goaltender’s is extensive at the Junior, University and academy level. From 2010-2016 Dan has held the same position with the OJHL’s Cobourg Cougars where under his guidance the Cougars’ goalies have been ranked in the Top 10 of the league every season. Meanwhile his other experience includes positions as a Goalie Consultant with the St. Lawrence University Saints (NCAA Div. 1 ECAC) in 2015-16 along with work as Goalie Coach with the UOIT Ridgebacks (CIS)

Stewart earned a degree in Business Management (St. Mary’s University) before starting the Connecticut Crease Elite Goalie school based out of New England. Connecticut Crease is the longest-running private hockey goalie training facility in the State, holding a client roster of more than 300 goalies. He has since opened CT Crease Canada working with many high level goalies in Southern Ontario.

As a player, Stewart was a member of the London Knights (OHL) from 1994-1996 before advancing to the Saint Mary’s University (CIS) from 1997-2000.Webinar Login Information
