The NOHA is currently looking for Minor Hockey Associations interested in hosting a Grassroots Festival in the 2019-20 season. Grassroots Festivals are one-day events aimed at the Initiation/Novice age groups, but can be open to Atom/Peewee players as well. Participating players will take part in two on-ice and two off-ice sessions focusing on teamwork, skill development, and fun, and receive a free lunch and gift from the NOHA. Coaches will have the opportunity to attend a Hockey Canada Instructional Stream Clinic, and Officials will be able to attend a Development Seminar. Grassroots Festivals are run at no cost to the Association, but require assistance in ice time, volunteers, and space for off-ice activities. Below is an outline and agenda of a sample festival, though this is customizable per location. If your Association is interested in hosting a Grassroots festival, please fill out the survey HERE. If you have any questions, please call Andrew Corradini at 705-474-8851 or email acorradini@noha.on.ca
