HTCP Trainers Qualification Extensions
The NOHA and Hockey Development Centre of Ontario (HDCO) would like to provide an
update regarding extensions that have been granted to the HTCP Trainers Qualifications.
HTCP Level 1 Trainers Refresher Extension
Due to the extenuating circumstances surrounding the Return to Play season, the HDCO is
extending the eligibility for Trainers to renew their qualifications through the HTCP Level 1
Trainers Refresher program. Trainers whose HTCP Level 1, Level 1 Refresher, Level 2, or Level
3 qualification expired on August 31, 2020, will have until December 31, 2020 to renew their
qualification through this program.
The HDCO is currently re-working their online system to allow these expired Trainers to access
the Refresher program. This should be completed in the near future. Once this is done, eligible
Trainers will be able to sign up at the HDCO eLearning website HERE.
HTCP Level 2/3 Trainers Qualification Extensions
Further, Standard First Aid and CPR certifications expiring on or after March 1, 2020, have been
automatically extended until December 31, 2020. This applies to all First Aid agencies in Ontario.
Therefore, the HTCP Level 2 and HTCP Level 3 qualifications issued by the NOHA that expired
on August 31, 2020 have been extended to December 31, 2020. This is reflected in their HCR
Profile. Trainers will have until December 31, 2020 to update their HTCP Level 1
qualification to HTCP Level 2 or renew their HTCP Level 2 or HTCP Level 3 qualifications.
This can be done through the link HERE.
Please share this information with your registered Trainers within your organization. If they have
any questions, please do not hesitate to contact NOHA Technical Director, Andrew Corradini at
