NOHA Coaching Development Webinar Series - Ryan Oulahen
The NOHA is pleased to announce the details of the second session of the NOHA Coaching Development Webinar Series: Topic: Habit Building: Working on Parts of a Whole Date: June 23rd, 2020 – 6:00 PM to 7:00PM Presenter: Ryan Oulahen, Head Coach, North Bay Battalion Cost: FREE Clinic Structure The clinic will be delivered in an online webinar format. Clinic attendees will require a laptop with a sufficient internet connection to view the presentation. The concepts presented will include key theories, video examples, and questions to keep in mind when teaching your team in practice so they can execute in a game, along with an opportunity to ask questions. Coaches who attend will receive three Certification Maintenance Points towards their Development 1 or High Performance 1 “Certified” Status. About Ryan Oulahen Ryan Oulahen (Newmarket, ON). Oulahen, chosen by Brampton in the fourth round of the 2001 OHL Priority Selection, played 182 games over three seasons, scoring 65 goals and adding 71 assists for 136 points. The club’s captain in 2004-05, his final season, he also produced six goals and 12 assists for 18 points in 28 playoff games. Selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the fifth round of the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Oulahen played 302 games over four seasons with the Grand Rapids Griffins, Detroit’s American Hockey League affiliate, scoring 53 goals and earning 54 assists for 107 points. After an injury ended his playing career, he joined the Battalion as an assistant coach in 2010-11 in Brampton, a position he held until 2016-17, when he became head coach of the Flint Firebirds. Ryan and his wife Kendall have two young boys.
