The NOHA is pleased to announce the 2024 winner of the Rick F. Albert Award is Tim McWhirter of Parry Sound.


While technically Tim McWhirter is from the OMHA, we consider him to be a true supporter and member of the NOHA.  For almost 20 years, he has been available to assist with any development programs offered by the NOHA, whether it be running Hockey Canada Skills Camps, facilitating clinics, Coaching at our POE Programs or being the Head Coach of the U14 Team NOHA All-Star Team.


He has been involved in coaching hockey in Parry Sound since 1995 at all levels.  He has deservingly been recognized for his role in development initiatives as the recipient of the OHF Bill Richmond Award in 2021-2022.  He is a leader in development within the Province of Ontario and across Canada in facilitating Hockey Canada’s Coaching Certification Programs and the Hockey Canada Instructional Stream.
