Movember Breaking the Ice is an evidence-based mental health literacy education program for athletes, coaches, and parents to learn the skills, resilience, and communication needed to help young men live happy, healthy, long lives.

The NOHA and Breaking the Ice have worked together to bring mental health literacy education to our teams. The program includes tailored, interactive sessions for the Players and Coaches, and a session for the Parents while the team is on the ice. The teams learn about resiliency in sport, as well as mental health literacy and the skills to support their own and each other’s mental health. These tools will give each teammate an assist as they grow through the game and their own lives.
